The TurboGrafx-16, also called the PC Engine in some markets, was a popular video game console in the 1980s and early 1990s. Launched by NEC, it was particularly popular in Japan and Europe, and had a small but devoted fan base in North America. The TG16 was known for its advanced and colourful graphics, and for having a large library of high-quality games.
